Cicada Audio Accessory HDLOC2

PLUG-N-PLAY LINE OUTPUT CONVERTER FROM 14 + HARLEY DAVIDSON® FACTORY RADIO’S TO FRONT FAIRING AMPLIFIER INPUT

Connects your 2014 + HD OEM radio directly to your amplifier with “In-Line” LOAD resistors to make sure there is no distortion or the radio shutting off because of it going into protection.   No cutting…. just PLUG-N-PLAY!  Very small and powerful!!  This LOC has much higher output than “normal” LOCs that car audio retailer/installers use.  Normal car audio LOCs that are used today are typically a 10:1 voltage divider.  Dropping the output voltage (AC) from 10 volts to a pretty worthless 1 volt out.    That’s what a typical LOC does!!! 

My HDLOC2 is a 2:1 convertor.  Dropping that 12 volts out from the Stock HD radio to about 6.5 volts (remember it is adjustable and can go from 0.0 Vac TO 6.5 Volts…depending on input signal voltage).  Thus, dropping signal down to be more usable signal voltage for most amplifiers input circuitry –

The HDLOC2 will drive pretty much any amplifier to full power even at minimum gain set on the amplifier!!

UNLESS YOU’VE had your bikes OEM radio flashed (a good thing to do!!) then signal levels drop pretty drastically (from 10 volts AC out to under 2 volts out!!!)  IF so, you should use our HDLOC MAX as it is a “Line Driver” as well as an LOC and can put up to 10 volts out in the signal path!!!

AS A NOTE: Cicada Amplifiers can handle 15 volts in (again…in the signal path!!).  So, no need for this LOC!   Use our HDFiM harness.  Much easier, cleaner.  But for a lot of amplifiers this LOC is very usable!!!
