Protected for Water and Dirt

LIFE SHIELD: Protected for water and dirt. UV protected against sun fade. 72 Hour UVA Burn In Certified. IPX68 rated. Real 10 Karat Gold plated, water resistant connectors provide protection against rust and corrosion. Round, easy to choose a prefabricated enclosure or convenient location on the boat. UV resistant, Butyl rubber surround is coupled to a flat-piston rigid dome. This configuration, allows the subwoofer to remain shallow and produce large bass frequencies.

High Temperature Voice Coil and Former

2.5 inch high temperature voice coil and former for high thermal stability in small enclosure volumes where the internal box temperatures can rob you of performance. Voice coil is high temperature copper, wound on a aluminum former which allows the voice coil to handle more power by dissipating heat faster than other materials while remaining light in weight. Molded Polymer Sealing gasket is utilized to keep the subwoofer isolated from the mounting surface and improve protection from water intrusion.

Aramid Fiber Composite Spider

An Aramid fiber composite spider is used to stabilize the cone and voice coil in all musical situations. Aramid fibers do not degrade over time and are not susceptible to temperature swings. Composite (ASA + Fiberglass) Frames are incredible strong and lightweight, but most important for music they are inert, meaning they have no resonance frequency, this assures all music and minimal distortion.

Each subwoofer includes three different grills. Kaimu Black, Miami Silver and Bahama White. Many enthusiasts use the white insert to lightly sand and paint to match their personal style and vehicle.
