At only 2.83 inches deep, the NLP254S can fit into tight spaces like a bench seat, gunnel or shallow compartment. Designed for free-air applications, the NW1-254 can also bring the noise when it's installed in a sealed enclosure as small as .45 cubic feet, so it's the sub to choose when you're dealing with a small space. The UV-resistant polypropylene cone is attached to the frame with a durable butyl rubber surround and stabilized with a woven aramid fiber spider that resists weather-and temperature related degradation. Highest Standards of Weather Resistance This MB Quart subwoofer is tough enough for extreme conditions, with water-resistant components and a super-strong composite basket, magnet cover, and grille. The exterior is coated with special UV-resistant paint that stands up to broiling sunlight, and the internals are conformal-coated to protect against fresh and salt water spray, not to mention dust and sand. This sub is IPX67-rated, which means it meets the highest standards of weather resistance.
